Twice as fast
Introduction
The other day I was challenged with the following question “what would it take to make this project go twice as fast?”
How would you do this?
It’s an interesting question. When we’ve developed something before, such as a website, we’ll have quite entrenched notions of how long something will take.
How could we halve the time taken to develop a website? Would you double the workforce? Could you simplify your processes?
What about making it four times faster? What would you do then?
I love this type of thinking. It’s at the essence of Lean Manufacturing where questions of speed and efficiency keep on driving improvements.
